Hoke D. Pollock, MD

Dr.Pollock has lived in Wilmington since 1980, when he and Dr. Botros established their Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (Ear, Nose and Throat) practice—BOTROS & POLLOCK, PA.  Raised in the Sandhills of North Carolina, he attended high school at Christ School in western North Carolina.  Afterwards Dr.Pollock attended The University of North Carolina as a Morehead Scholar, following which, he completed medical school as a Morehead Medical Fellow at the UNC School of Medicine, receiving an MD with Honors.  After a year of residency training in Family Medicine at UNC , complemented by a year of residency training in General Surgery at the University of Iowa, and finally,  and with three years of Otolaryngology residency at UNC( Chief Resident in 1980), he moved to Wilmington with his wife and three children.   

Relying on the best of current, evidence-based- medicine practices as guidelines, incorporating an integrated, holistic approach to the evaluation of and care for health concerns, Dr Pollock provides  medical and surgical treatment  in all of the major areas of  an ear, nose and throat practice, for patients of all ages, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Common concerns and health problems cared for in the practice are hearing concerns, tinnitus, ear infection, dizziness, nasal and sinus problems, allergies, Head and Neck Cancer, swallowing problems,  and hoarseness.
